Go get a surfboard or apparel at Corolla Surf Shop (way awesome surf shop!!) and then a beer and great food at the Sundog Cafe next door.
Somewhat scuzzy but cheap and well-stocked shopping center. Good for emergency replacement beach supplies.
I'm sure this place is wonderful during peak season, but off-season, it's practically dead, with a few businesses not even open.
Food Lion is a great grocery store and the bagel store is the best. Super Wings is one of the best souvenir stores!
