Just a note: while you do have to pay admission to climb the 220 stairs of the lighthouse (and yes, it is well worth it), credit/debit is NOT accepted as a form of payment at the time of this review! Cash or check only!
We loved climbing the light house. It's a little bit more expensive than I would have liked but it goes to keeping up the structures. The climb is easy and they don't let more than a few up at a time which is nice. The nature center is also pleasant and educational. It's a beautiful place to spend a couple hours.
It's honestly amazing. One of the things that I loved was the nice breeze with the sun at the top. Amzazing place to go to get some pretty pictures. 10$per person which could be lowered in my opinion but it helps the structure keep going.
A beautiful and informative place, the view from the top of the lighthouse is absolutely incredible. You can walk all the way around the top for a 360 degree view of the surrounding area. It does get a bit tight if several people are up simultaneously, but the staff does a great job of limiting the number of people for safety reasons.
Very beautiful lighthouse. Lots of parking and restrooms. It isn't a far walk from the parking lot to the lighthouse and for a small price you can walk up the stairs to the top. The gift shop is full of lots of cute things from coloring books, magnets and ornaments to stuffed animals and shirts.
Absolutely beautiful. The lighthouse is accessible through the year and is fully staffed by volunteers. The $10 cost to climb the lighthouse was worth it. The view was lovely and the lighthouse is beautifully constructed with half of the platforms containing museum displays and information about the lighthouse and others like it, teaching about how lighthouses work as well.
