10 years! (And I've been coming here for 9) Flying smiles is a great shop. Fun, friendly owners, a great selection of kites, puzzles, games, toys, and more. Eliot also runs a kite hospital, where he'll work to get you back in the sky, no matter where you got your kite.
The people who run the shop are so hospitable and nice. They love to crack a joke and help you. I came in for my first kite after I saw some people having fun with them at the beach. They showed me the kits and I found the perfect one. If you want a kite, come here.
They people at Flying Smiles were supremely helpful in "making the **right** sale", w/o the 'Sales-Push' to simply make 'a sale'. We're here in the OBX on a Family Vacation/Reunion.
