Food was excellent and perfect for us. My wife loves seafood, but I’m not a big fan, but I do love a good BBQ meal. We got both here. My wife got the Atlantic Steamer Pot platter, which came with King Crab, Snow Crab, Shrimp and Scallops. I had the Pulled BBQ Pork platter. Bother we’re excellent. Pork cane without sauce, which can sometimes result in it being dried out. Not here. Juicy and succulent. And the sauces to choose from we’re good as well. Kids meals were good as well. And the Hush Puppies were very good. So good, in fact we ordered and extra side of them after trying the ones that came with my BBQ Pork Platter.
A wonderful, quaint establishment. A small place with huge dishes!!! Kind, attentive staff, they joked around with us about the amount of butter we needed for our crab legs! What a wonderful little spot!! If you're in the area give it a try!
Overall, we love the place and the experience and would recommend it.
Some may complain about having to get their own drinks from the fountain/cooler, but honestly, who cares. Are you that lazy?? Honestly. If the food is good, I don’t mind getting my own drinks/refills. And you can get of your self entitled butt and put aside the “serve me, serve me” attitude.

Blew our expectations out of the water! Extremely friendly staff, 14 of us sat down to eat and the food came out in a timely matter. You get to pick your own drinks. Staff was very attentive. Now let's discuss the food....
For lunch, I had the beef brisket & my wife had the NC pulled pork BBQ. With the tangy sauce, the brisket was very good. You get 2 sides & cornbread. Good size portions if sides.
And, after we finished our meal, my 6 year old daughter asked about meeting Timothy The Blue Crab. Unfortunately, Timothy has long since been...ummm...released back to the sea in the sky, but the cook came out with another live Blue Crab for my daughter to hold. He basically told her all about blue crabs and how they behave, which she thought was great.
The food here is amazing. I was in a group of 8 people and our food was delivered to our table within about 20 minutes with absolutely no complaints from anyone. I ordered the North Carolina Pork and it wasn't dry at all as some of the other reviews have said. Overall, a very good experience. It really doesn't look like a place with amazing food but looks can be very deceiving.
Fatcrabs Rib Company is an easy going, comfortable, tasty place in Corolla NC. I had the gumbo and my wife had the blue crab chowda. Both were excellent.
